Our Team
Two disciplines,
one practice
Psychiatry and psychology work side by side here. A psychiatrist is a medical specialist who diagnoses mental health conditions and can prescribe and manage medication. A psychologist provides structured talking therapy. Many people benefit from one; some see both. Your GP can help you choose where to start.
Psychiatrist
Dr Dhanushka De Silva
BMed · MD · FRANZCP · Cert. Cons. Liaison Psych
Dr De Silva is a psychiatrist with a special interest in women's mental health and consultation-liaison psychiatry, particularly during the perinatal period. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
She completed her medical degree at UNSW and trained across Sydney, with experience in general adult and perinatal mental health, complex medical and psychiatric presentations, emergency psychiatry, and community mental health. She also practises at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Her care is thoughtful and evidence-based, built on strong therapeutic relationships that support recovery, resilience, and overall wellbeing.
Special interests
Dr De Silva's books are currently fully committed ahead of a period of leave, and psychiatry is temporarily closed to new referrals.
Psychologist
Jeremy Maksour
B Psych Sci (Hons) · Registered Psychologist
Jeremy is a registered psychologist who helps adults reach a deeper, more meaningful understanding of themselves and their experiences. He supports people through stress, anxiety, depression, shame, neurodivergence, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
His style is conversational, insight-oriented, and relational, working largely from a psychodynamic perspective to explore the deeper patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships. He also draws on ACT, CBT, DBT, and EMDR as each person's needs require.
